How to get set up

Before we start

Create Discord bot
We walk you through creating a bot in the Discord Developer Portal. You choose the name and avatar - you retain full ownership.
Install bot on your server
Add the bot to your server with the permissions it needs - message reading, sending, role management, or just specific channels.
Configure moderation rules
Define what the bot monitors - spam, links, inappropriate content - and what action it takes (warn, mute, delete, escalate to moderator).
Set up welcome & onboarding flows
Configure welcome messages, role assignment prompts, and channel guides for new members joining your server.
Test all bot interactions
Run through moderation triggers, welcome flows, commands, and notification routing. Verify everything works in a test channel first.
